Textiles GCSE Coursework

My theme for this project was Urban Architecture and after the design process, this was the skirt I  have made. The waistband is made up of a series of appliqued buildings with sequins for the windows. The pencil skirt is made from a black coloured fabric with hand embroidered beads and sequins.

Product Design Coursework GCSE

This is for the first section of my GCSE ProductDesign coursework. I made each charm with pewter, cast in moulds I've made and added beads. The photo frame charm holds a photo of an angel from Ed Sheeran's Give Me Love video from which this bracelet is inspired, with the words 'give me love' etched round the frame with 4 small hearts.

Christening Cupcakes

I was asked by a family friend to cater for their daughter Isabel's Christening. I have made 90 cupcakes in total this weekend...

I started on Friday cutting out little pink and white baby feet with my Cricut Cake machine. After the icing was cut, I started baking on Saturday.

The cupcake recipe is from the stunning Primrose Bakery cook book, a delicate vanilla cake topped with fresh vanilla butter cream.

 

I decorated the table with pretty cake stands for the cupcakes and two balloons in the centre. They went down really well and Isabel's parents were really pleased. It's been a really good experience and would be something I'd like to do again.

Craft Fair

This afternoon I have been selling all the creations I have recently made at a local craft fair. It was really great fun and I had a lot of interest in some of my unique products on sale. Made a good profit too which is always good! Pretty pleased with my efforts today:)

Sock Pigs

I've been making a few of these recently to sell at a local craft fair soon. They're really good fun to make and the patterns can be found in the Stray Sock Sewing book that I bought recently.

Strawberry and White Chocolate Cupcakes

Today I have made these strawberry and white chocolate cupcakes. I made a vanilla cupcake mix with my favourite cook book with white chocolate chips, added butter cream after baking and made little strawberries from fondant icing to go on top.

Flower Key Rings

I cut two paper flower patterns and cut a set of felt flowers out, added the ribbons on key rings and a button in the middle to create these. All the supplies are from my favourite fabric shop, Paper and String.

Paper and String Owls

I have been admiring some beautiful felt kits on this website and blog and after going to John Lewis the other day, I could not resist to buy one! I got the felt owl kit and have sat and made these today. The kit was beautiful and contained everything I needed. Would highly recommend these to anyone!
